At Urban Academy, we assess student growth using the Measures of Academic Progress assessment. (Northwest Evaluation Association MAP Test.) Teachers use the results to focus intervention groups. Students in grades 3-8 participate in the statewide Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) tests. In the classroom, teachers use Fastbridge to assess oral fluency, accuracy and comprehension according to their grade level proficiency standards. All of our assessments provide relevant information to differentiate instruction with classroom teachers and Title 1 teachers.
